Tiny rounded yellow-green body with dark mottled blotches, large independently swiveling eyes, and a small beak; one of the smallest pufferfish.

A fully freshwater nano puffer that is curious but nippy and territorial; eats snails and shrimp and will nip slow long-finned tankmates, so usually kept in a species tank or a heavily planted group with sightline breaks. Males are aggressive toward each other.
