Appearance

Small, elongated blenny with a tan to brown body marked by dark vertical bars or bands, particularly prominent across the head and anterior body. Possesses the characteristic cirri (tentacle-like projections) above the eyes typical of Mimoblennius species.

Diet and feeding

Feeds on small crustaceans, zooplankton, and algae in the wild. In captivity, offer a varied diet including mysis shrimp, small copepods, quality flake foods, and occasional vegetable matter or nori sheets.
