Expert target dosing uses nitrate-equivalent formula mL = 0.05 x tank gallons x desired nitrate-equivalent ppm; equivalently, 1 mL per 20 US gal raises nitrate-equivalent by about 1 ppm. This freshwater duplicate remains manual-only until the UI labels nitrate-equivalent separately from plain nitrate.
